I attempted last night for the first time since my eye surgeries to cross-stitch. It was a disaster. And discouragement descended on me.
But today? It's a whole new world.

| All those drops..... |
Last night was the last of the eye drops. So I woke this morning to less restrictions on my time since I have no more drops!! to use in my eyes.
Then I made a call to the dr. - and YES! my glasses arrived - all three pair. YAY! I've been a tad frustrated (and even more than a tad testy) about my vision. It's weird and impossible to convey the sensation of being able to see more clear than ever before without correction but still miss out on the detail that makes vision so fabulous.
| Great glasses for me! |
So today is a YAY day for finally finally finishing the eye drops and receiving my new glasses. And a WOW day for being so astonished at the clarity they achieve.
I saved my library and grocery run for after picking up the glasses and yup - that was the most fun at the library and the grocery store I ever remember having. Just delightful.
I'm so grateful for my eyes and the ability to see God's wonderful world. I'm grateful for the skilled doctors that care about doing their jobs - with complete dedication and concern - to help another; that gratitude cannot be overstated. I'm so grateful for The Husband's encouragement (and seemingly endless patience while I exhibited none) during this little journey that has often felt like it would never end. And I'm grateful that we had enough $$ tucked away to pay for all three pair (regular glasses, prescription sunglasses and glasses to enable me to play the piano) that in just a few short hours have already enriched my soul.
