And I can't believe how good it is to be home.
We had a great trip to the beach. Did some different things than usual. And did lots of the usual. Ate lots of good food - so glad we figured out it's ok to share an entree, have learned there's usually plenty plenty of food in a single entree for the both of us. We can't seem to ever get enough of the fresh seafood and southern bbq that tastes to good there in (southern, almost South Carolina) North Carolina. We spent roughly equal parts of our time in both states.
We both (with some trepidation) got on the scales this morning expecting disaster. And with a good measure of relief found 😊. We're both within a pound of where we were when we left. Pretty much the best Sunday morning news we could have had.
We found everything here at home in perfect order. How grateful we are to have someone here to watch out and take care of things.
We're off in a bit to church, I'll be subbing on the piano in Jr. Primary, have already been at the piano practicing. It'll be fun. Then a lovely afternoon here in my favorite place: home.
I'll have pictures, I took way too many, and have already deleted a whole slew of them from my phone. The one I should have taken (when we watched a fisherman catch a shark - his third in the last two weeks) I didn't because I was busy holding the fishing pole while he and his friend (and The Husband) worked at removing the fish hook and then dragged the shark off to swim-depth waters.
But for now, I'm so very content.
