Two Pictures

This was supposed to be a somewhat slow week.  I was planning to get some stuff done.  And just breathe.

Shouldn't ever make plans.  Not a single day this week has gone how I'd envisioned.

Front-and-center parking.
I've been to the hospital to help out a friend.  Worried and fussed over another sweet friend who is facing some pretty hard challenges.  Dropped stuff off for a birthday. Returned a package to UPS that was delivered here by mistake (the real destination is a whole different city - YIKES!) am helping taking dinner to someone tonight, shipped a package across the country, wracked my brain for Christmas ideas, have done the usual household stuff (excepting I've neglected the toilets this week, gotta get to those) and haven't had a moment to "just breathe".

But - I did get "rock star" parking at the grocery today.

So lovely!!
And I did manage to get to yoga yesterday.  I so needed that.  I've a couple sore muscles today to show for it, but it felt good.  And I was able to concentrate on that breathing that is so much a part of (and so very beneficial) yoga.

I was so taken with this friend's window above her front door.  She painted it herself (there seems to be absolutely nothing she can't do), said it went fast (I think it was freehand) and it's a tradition from her Grandma that she carries on.  I absolutely love it.  Isn't there some kind of stencil out there that I could use to do something similar above my front door?

And I heard this yesterday.  It was attributed to someone whose name I can't recall and it doesn't come up in a quick online search.  "Joy and Gratitude are best friends."

I'm trying an experiment with my own personal gratitude journey.  It'll be interesting to see if there's a difference. It takes at least 3 weeks (they say 21 days makes a habit...).

I'm so ready for a comfy chair and my book.
