And we've got it on again today. It'll be toasty outside again. But comfy inside.
We had some friends over last night for a visit. How lovely it was to sit on the patio and chat. We all were needing that interaction I think - several times all four of us were talking at once, we all had so much to say. They stayed till full dark, longer than I'd expected. Yes, really nice.
We also did a high school graduation celebratory drive by. Our neighbors across the street and one door down had a daughter complete her high school education. So we piled in the car with our kinda-tacky-low-end-homemade-sharpie-sign that said CONGRATS! that I held out the window and we drove by, The Husband honking not only his car horn but his other loud squeeze horn that is really basically annoying. Stopped and shared a few words, it was a happy occasion.

Which we hope we contributed to on our return pass where I held the sign out the sunroof as we again honked our way past. So nice that we were invited to participate.
And this morning's walk yielded this photo of an inviting scene. I know several people who would just love to lay in a hammock beneath the leaves and nap/relax/read/just be.
I was grateful to turn on the air conditioner. It meant that it was time to swap out the old air-cleaner filters for fresh clean ones. That meant that I had a nice large box that sacrificed its side panel for the Congrats sign I made for the drive-by. A lovely sequence of events. Though the unlovely part was that in pulling a tray down looking for the box cutter I toppled it on the floor. The tray contained The Husband's supply of specialty light bulbs. They landed on the garage floor with a large thwack. I'm certain they are no longer light bulbs. But dark/dead bulbs. 😞 I'm also grateful to have the air conditioners on - that means the windows are closed, there's not so much dust coming through and I'm sneezing (seasonal allergies) much less than usual. Tender mercies.
