Rugs

I've been grumpy with myself.  I love to have a throw rug on the floor.  Next to my bed for when I get up and feel the softness on the bottom of my feet.  Next to the shower and the bathroom sink for the same reason.  At the kitchen sink to catch all the sloppiness of my food prep and clean up.  And anywhere else feels like it's needed.  I know they're not really a safe thing to have.  I know that maybe they're not trendy.  But I like them.  Always have, always will.

Years ago bought some throw rugs at Costco for the bathroom that are comfy and thick.  But...so thick they have to go to the laundromat for cleaning (thus the grumpiness, I should have saved that money). They're too much for my washer and dryer.  And that's just a bother.  So I've been on the hunt for some new ones, ones that I can wash, ones that are ok to use on our bathroom "luxury vinyl plank" floor (lots of things are no-no's for that).  Picked some up at IKEA only to find that they're not compatible.  Only hours later they were returned.

Found some today at Kohl's.  Managed to use a 20% off coupon.  I love the new bathroom rugs. And they also fit my preference for more natural fibers.  All cotton.  Yes, they're great.

And I came across this article.  I haven't listened to / watched / read a lot of "Don't Miss This" - I have trouble concentrating on auditory only stuff (it's just so much wa-wa-wa in my head so I lose focus immediately).  But I might try a little harder after reading this article.  Hopefully it'll resonate with any reader, it certainly touched my heart.  I love how he finds the hand of our Creator in every day things.  I want to be more like that.

Today's lunch was Costco pizza.  First time having their pizza for us and it was pretty good tasting greasiness. 😋 Fun to have a rare lunch date.  Ran into our across-the-street neighbors.  Fun to chat as well.

Grateful today for some new rugs that didn't quite break the bank.  Grateful for texts with daughters.  Grateful for enough extra stuff from the garden that we can share.  Even if it's only a small handful of strawberries.  Fresh from the garden tastes best.
