So this is a picture of the inside of our toilet. Notice that there's nothing connecting the handle to the flapper. Broken. Sigh.

Hale last night was great. The Little Mermaid has never held much appeal for me. I dislike the Disney movie - yes, I realize I'm the only one on this planet who didn't like it. So I went last night with zero expectations for a good evening. As usual, Hale excelled. The costumes were fabulous, the staging creative and totally fun, the casting superb, the talent - way better one would expect from our little local theater. Very fun production in spite of the fact that I don't really care for the story, though the play did it better than the movie.
We expected to come home in the middle of a snowstorm. It held off until about 2 this morning. So for the second time this week, we were out at dawn shoveling the snow. After the first time, The Husband put the plow blade on his John Deere so he's ready for work. Though when we only have a couple inches at a time, it isn't so bad, even when it's wet, dense snow.
I've a complaining muscle in my upper arm - of course it would be my right arm. It'll get a bit of babying for a while. But I discovered after the backache I had from pulling out the mums, that backache really responds to a couple of yoga poses. My back is much better, thank you.
In spite of people who are dang good at hurting my heart, I do have things to be thankful for today. So grateful for the ability to purchase (and then utilize with ease) repair parts when things go wrong. Thanks, My Love, you're definitely a keeper. I'm grateful for kind people who welcome me at yoga and don't treat me like an old lady not worth their time. That one thing is almost reason enough to continue going. I'm grateful for a slow-cooker filled with yummy veggies in soup form that'll feed us not only tonight, but on Sunday as well. I'm planning on a meal out tomorrow after our shift at the Bishop's Storehouse. I'm grateful that our Christmas gifting is mostly bought, and hoping for inspiration for a few little items still needed. I'll say it again: when you have little $$ to spend, it goes pretty fast and requires a lot of thought. But the important ones we buy for all have the true and right perspective about the holiday anyway, so material things are of less priority. I'm grateful for that, too.
