Cherries - almost ripe.
I thought I hadn't been taking very many pictures lately. But apparently more than I thought.

Find a penny, pick it up....
Still having more cases of the coronavirus in our state than I like. Less today by a little, but still too many for my thinking. So, we're still staying home, still being careful where we go, still wearing masks when out and about and still longing for the day this scourge is mostly history.
I had a porch visit today from a friend - how lovely it was for her to carve out an entire hour to sit and chat with me. Seriously - just really nice.
Twice now when I've been alone in the morning for my walks I've seen deer in places I haven't seen deer before. I like it.

Love hollyhocks
|
Just loved this pretty tree.
And the large (not even large-ish but truly large) dog on the trail? We chatted for a minute with his owner the other day. The dog's name is Grizz (short for grizzly bear because of his size). We're free to feed him treats whenever we like. He loves them.
To happy to have books from the library. I'm so grateful for my love of reading. It takes me places I'll never be able to visit on my own, enriches my base of knowledge and helps me have hope for good things to come.

Our hoya is blooming again.
I can't recall ever seeing cherries growing on trees before - they were so, so pretty. Our hoya is thriving under The Husband's care. (This picture was taken from upside down, wasn't sure the blooms were even in the screen - I was lucky!) Loved these hollyhocks - ours have yet to bloom.
And on our walk on Saturday? We ran into a couple ladies from the ward - they were "yard sale-ing". And ran into another couple in their yard as we neared home. Then that night I received an actual phone call - chatted with her while we sat out on the patio for a bit over an hour. And I think she still wasn't quite finished talking. We've missed seeing people. It was good for us to do so today.
