Spring

We've had such strange weather.  During the roofing project we had lots of snow, heavy winds and torrents of rain.  Thankfully not a drop of that moisture made it into our house.

Yesterday it was 80 degrees.  Today it's in the 70's and breezy with a cold front / rain coming in.  Definitely spring weather.  Although the old saying about our part of Utah is: if you don't like the weather wait a half hour and it'll be something different.  And I believe that still holds true.

Yesterday's walk yielded a bunch of blooming flowers.  No forsythia blooms that we could find, but lots of daffodils and crocus and hyacinths.  And a bunch of deer.  This morning we saw more deer.  And the globe willow trees are all green.  It's beautiful.

(I have fussed and fussed over this, trying to get the picture placement just right, and the text in its proper place.  With not luck.  Professional I have never been.  And this tech stuff just defeats me.  So I'll just quite messing around and call it all good.  No one who reads this (if anyone does) will care that it looks just messy and amateurish. )

On our way out of the store this morning, The Husband (being his cheerful social self) said to the guy he liked his hawaiian shirt.  The guy stood there for a minute then said, "I'm awesome.  Can't help it."  Made me laugh inside, because he's not that great looking a guy and always wears shorts and knee-high non-matching compression socks.  I'm not criticizing, just observing that he's probably not what most people would think fashionable.  But comfortable enough in his own skin that he can be cute with his words.  I liked that little interaction. (And frankly, am just fine with non-matching socks. A little quirkiness is good for most everyone.)

Grateful today for sunshine that brings out the best in this beautiful earth after a long hard winter.  It also brightens my soul.  And grateful for repentance and forgiveness.
