"Friend"

This is such a great word - usually inspires tender feelings.

The dictionary lists one definition as: one who is not hostile. That was unexpected.

And yet, as I've been thinking about this word lately, people can interpret it very loosely.

Here's wishing and hoping (for me and all those I know) that only the very best kind of friends inhabit our/your lives.
