I know I talk a lot about the weather. It has always interested me. And I think I've always been aware of how I feel in different weather scenarios.
Yesterday the valley hit a record high of 105 degrees. When it's that hot, it hurts to breathe when you're out in it. And a locked car parked for even a few minutes could cook pizza on the seats. So when the thermometer reads 104 degrees out, even a little shade is hugely beneficial. I was lucky enough today at the grocery to find one of the few parking spots with a bit of shade.

I was trying to hurry at the grocery, I still haven't much energy and wanted to get home, when my phone rang. It was our sweet friend (a sister - she's in her 80's - that The Husband home teaches) calling to check up on me. We had briefly chatted on Sunday, she knows I've been sick, and was calling to see if I am improving. Haven't had that happen very often, mostly it's me checking up on others. Made my heart do a teensy little happy flip.
I'm grateful to have had a night without a coughing fit, which made for a much better night's sleep. Lots of things go better when one is well rested.
