Walk

Friday morning The Husband walked out and met me on the trail.  Motioned me to be as quiet as I could - there were a bunch of deer right across the fence.  Yup, 7 of them. Including the momma deer that's lived in the area for years, recognizable by her limp.  She sticks around and has a couple babies every spring.  I love that we still can see this bit of natural wildlife in our neighborhood.

Walked into a mattress store yesterday for our search, and there was a friend-couple of ours.  The Husband crawled right on the mattress between them and we all had a good laugh.  And we're still thinking.  Our mattress does need replacing but we're loathe to spend the $$$ that's apparently the going rate these days.  In the meantime, whenever either one of us is having trouble, the couch does just fine (for one of us at least).

Went to dinner with a couple friends - R&R BBQ (chose the one in Lehi) and had a grand time.  I'm so grateful for their friendship. Split a salad (at lunch) and came away with dessert and breakfast.  The Husband had a hankering for one of their chocolate muffins and it so happened to be BOGO, so the second one was breakfast this morning.  Still a very favorite of mine.

Today is a regular church day for me.  No organ playing.  No piano playing.  No teaching any class (not that I've done that in quite a while). Nothing to do but go and absorb the Spirit, commune with Heavenly Father, take the sacrament and renew my covenants.  It'll be a low-stress, low-demand day.  At least that's what I'm looking forward to / counting on.  I'm all for low-stress these days.

Were talking the other day about little signs of encouragement that happen all the time.  That we notice but don't really recognize.  Like my green light mojo and the way the good parking spaces are almost always there for me.  And other similar little gems.  I'm glad for them.  They do help.

Today I'm most grateful for The Husband and his constant watchful care of us.  For people who don't seem to mind that I'm not particularly (insert whatever adjective fits - like pretty/rich/outgoing/smart) and still get-together with me/us. I'm grateful for the opportunities I have to learn and hope the lessons stick.  I'm grateful for kindness in all its forms.
