Another Couple Thoughts

Last week we were talking to a guy (a salesman, actually) who had heard us call each other by name.  He had to tell us his parents have the same names as we do.  In all our 48 1/2 years of marriage we've never run into any other couple with the same names.

Went off to visit a friend this morning, had to wear my boots.  I don't often get to wear these particular ones.  I just love the prints they make.  Though I'm still (and I've had these boots for years) wondering why, since they're boots and boots are generally worn in the winter, the treads aren't snowflakes instead of leaves?  I do love the leaves, but snowflakes might be really fun, also.

Made me laugh.

And was reading my news this morning and came across this article.  Integrity and Great Quote  I was quite taken with these words from former President Nixon:

 “Always remember, others may hate you but those who hate you don’t win unless you hate them. And then you destroy yourself.”


I'm so grateful today for enough money to go to the grocery and stock up on food.  I'm grateful for a mid-(winter)-afternoon cup of hot chocolate.  I'm grateful for prayer, I've certainly been communicating with our Heavenly Father most fervently of late, for a couple people I dearly love.
