So, what can I say? "Wicked" was fabulous! I forget how much I love it between times. There's something about the storyline and the music that just reaches me. I've been sorta-teased about how many times I've seen it. But really, I don't care, I'd see it again in a heartbeat. And I hope to have the opportunity to do just that!

| Wickedly Fabulous! |
So, we went to dinner after the play - had a gift card to a local eatery that we really like (it's downtown SLC, we don't get down there very often) and of course we both wanted different dishes, (had skipped lunch = hungry) so came away from the Red Iguana 2 stuffed. Stopped on the way home for take-out ice cream which went into the freezer - we were too full to eat it. The next night we went to dinner with some friends. Were a tad wiser that night, split an entree (I'm so grateful they didn't charge extra for that) and I still came home feeling bloated and stuffed. (Of course, the stop at Chick-Fil-A for an ice cream cone didn't help any.) Yesterday morning when I got up to get ready for church I was still so full that I couldn't eat a thing. But a Sunday evening movie on tv accompanied by our Friday night's saved ice cream was a real treat.
I just can't eat like I used to. You'd think that'd mean that I'd be losing some of these extra lbs. that have decided to take up permanent residence on my bones. But, no.

| Yesterday's beauty. |
It was so beautiful out yesterday afternoon that we took a walk. I so love this early church schedule that means our afternoons feel like a little oasis of peace. Since we don't shop or go much anywhere on Sunday, it's the perfect set-up for a leisurely walk out in the fresh air. And I'll enjoy it while I can. Another couple months and I'll be whining about the heat.
Today is a stay-at-home-relax-day. The Husband had to teach the teacher council class at church yesterday at the same time I was teaching Relief Society. We need this day to decompress. Fortunately there's enough food in the house that I can avoid a grocery trip for a day or two.
Today I'm so grateful for a lovely weekend. It was such delight to see the play and have a couple meals out. It was fun to see our friends. I'm grateful that it wasn't so completely windy that I was unable to go for my walk this morning. The days are getting longer and by the time I was maybe a third of the way through my walk (jacket hood up to keep my hat on my head) the sun was up. That's my favorite way to greet the day. The only thing better is to do my walk on the beach. I'm grateful that Relief Society seemed to go ok. I always come away with the nagging thought that I could have-should have done better. The discussion did include a fair amount of participation. I'll just have to try to do better next time. I'm grateful for lots of chores already completed for the day. For a couple things to get from the library and for a piece of chocolate in the cupboard - that's calling my name.
