Magnolia blooms.
I'm not great at "computering". haha. I decided to just add the best pictures from the last 4 or 5 days. Then realized they needed explanations. Couldn't figure out how to do that with the pictures already posted. So here we are, starting over again.
Friday morning's sunrise was spectacular. I surely wish there was a way to capture the majesty of the skies with a camera. The pictures never do justice to the real thing. I loved walking along the trail (I was heading west so had to keep turning around and walking backward for several steps) and watching the ever-changing colors of the clouds. I was so happy to see a guy sitting in his backyard. He'd grabbed a jacket and hat, dragged his chair to the far corner of the yard with the best view and was just sitting. Absorbing the beauty of the morning sun as it came up through the clouds. I couldn't help but have my soul brightened by our shared love of the sunrise.

Love the yellow forsythia.
|
They're going to be lovely.
I watch for this magnolia tree to bloom, it's quite large and just lovely. And of course, every lilac bush I pass has my nose tucked deep in the blooms as I draw their scent deep into my lungs. And those two trees? I watch for their blossoming every year, they get prettier and prettier. I'll have to get over on that part of the trail in the next few days when those tiny buds are fully opened. I'm surprised at how long the forsythia bushes have bloomed this year.
We're supposed to get more (yes, more) rain tonight.

Lovely in progress.
The Husband planted our little redbud tree, I hope it's happy and grows well.

Cute little muskrat.
I love a tree-lined view. It was fun to be out there alone this morning. I had a feeling I might see the muskrat this morning - it seems I see one when the creek is running pretty fast, which it was this morning. Sure enough, there it was. I stood and watched him for a while, he was oblivious to everything but the grasses he was snarfing down. I think The Husband wants one for our yard (we'd need to provide the creek) to eliminate the snails. (The picture is a teensy bit blurry because I had to crop it so much, I was some distance - though as close as I could get - from it.)

My pretty trail.
I'm glad yesterday's R.S. lesson is done. I was so anxious about it I hardly slept the night before. Then had dry eyes and had to use drops which combine with the Rx eyedrops to make my eyes just runny. Didn't help that a sweet sister shared some tender thoughts. Trying to read through the tears felt like I was reading underwater. I'm going to take a few days to recuperate before I begin prepping for the next lesson.
I'm so grateful this morning for patience. Not mine. Because I haven't any. But the patience of those around me for all my foibles, faults and failings. I have what feels like more than my share. And being grateful for their patience makes me even more grateful for second chances.
