Though I did try. Was on my morning walk, on the trail along the city park (heading to return a couple books at the library). I'd been hearing the geese (they love to loudly announce their presence), looked up and a large flock of geese was flying overhead (that's why I wear my hat). I blinked and they were gone.
But not really, they had landed in the ball field right next to me. Another flock flew in for landing, as did another. I started counting. Stopped counting at 60 geese. As I deposited my books at the library and walked around to the other side of the field, three more smaller flocks of geese joined the ones gathered on the grass. There had to have been at least 100 geese there on the field. They looked so pretty in the morning light; I couldn't help but wonder what they were saying to each other. They sounded happy to be alive. I took a video, but my little phone camera needed to be closer and if I'd attempted that, they'd all have taken flight. It was fun, though. I was so glad I was there to see/hear them.
Stopped in at Barnes and Noble (to say hi to our daughter and grandson who I discovered were there), then Target. And was reminded why I pretty much stay out of the stores. I get a case of the "wants" and I have all the "needs" and then some.
And I really liked this article. He often says things that resonate with me. Charity. Yup.
Charity
I'm so grateful for repentance. And forgiveness. I'm often in need of both. I am grateful to be back (as much as I can) at yoga. I still don't love the doing. But I'm very enamored of the way I feel when I'm done. Except, today my knees are protesting every movement. I think I'll find some ibuprofen. For which I am also grateful.
