Home

We've been home not quite 48 hours.  It's been lovely.  The last  (I think the count is 9 total loads) load of laundry is in the washing machine, almost ready to go into the dryer.  Those appliances have been working non-stop the entire day.  The iron will be pressed (haha) into service next.

The mail's been sorted, read and/or tossed.  The bathrooms have been attended to, as well as the kitchen.  The orchids watered and errands run.  We've been to the eye dr. (more tests to follow, but nothing (so far) to be alarmed about, only keeping an eye on the situation - again with the puns?), picked up pizza for dinner and at this moment The Husband is delivering a birthday card to a friend.

We've a full week ahead with Hale and hair cuts and yoga and catching up on the DVR shows among other things.

But the best part for me is being here.  I'm so very conflicted about traveling.  Love to explore new places. Love to see new-to-me beauties in this world.  But I'm most-most-most at ease here in my home, with instant access to the things that make me comfortable.  Yes, I know there's a whole huge world out there.  And most people are anxious and ready at the drop of a hat to go off and see it.  That doesn't mean that I'm any less (in any way) because I'm content to be here.  There's room for us all.

I had to add this picture of the clouds.  It's not often I get to see the setting sun reflecting off the top of them.

I'm so grateful that we had this chance to take a trip (I don't honestly know how people afford to travel much, it's definitely an account drain!).  I'm grateful that we have food to eat, that we have conveniences in our life.  And I'm so glad we arrived home while the orchid is still blooming.
