I actually did a quick look through my phone to see if I've taken any pictures that I could add. But, no.
Quick online yoga this morning and then a decent walk along a less used route. Fewer people means a better walk.
Yesterday afternoon our friend dropped by. In the course of the conversation I mentioned that if he ever ran across (in his many outings; he's not a stay-at-home kind of guy) some boneless, skinless chicken thighs just buy them. Don't phone or text and ask. Just buy them and bring them to me and I'll pay for them. I'm that desperate. We've had such trouble finding them and that's our favorite cut of chicken. About 9:45 this morning the phone rang. Are we home? Do I still want chicken thighs? He'll be right over. And he was. With a Costco size package (it'll make six dinners with probably six leftovers) of our favorite chicken pieces. What a guy!! He'd stopped at a different Costco than ours and happened to check the chicken while he was there and voila!! Honestly, words fail me as I try to describe how happy that made me. (I was so glad he took cash rather than insisting on Venmo or some other method of payment!) My freezer looks much better now that it includes our preferred chicken.
We were a bit hesitant about going to Home Depot. We've seen long lines of people waiting to get in as they regulate how many people can be in there at once. But we arrived at the perfect time to be able to just walk in. We found everything we were looking for, even a couple extra things. And really, it was so good for me. I loved wandering amongst all the green and flowering growing things. There's such beauty and hope in spring. I got to drive there and back and even that was a boost to my spirits. I've needed a boost lately.
So, I've some columbine flowers to plant in the front garden, along with a packet of cosmos seeds. That'll be fun to do one of these mornings when I 've time before my shower. The daughter is so far enjoying a book I recommended (I always hold my breath when I recommend something, I so hate to disappoint people). I've chicken in the crockpot for dinner. And I've a few minutes to clean out a part of my closet that's been bugging me. So far, it's been a more than decent day. Yay for me!
