Another Week Gone

And it's Friday already again.  It seemed like last week flew by because we had so much going on.  This week, less going on, but it still felt like the days had wings.

I took some time off from yoga.  Didn't like doing that. Managed to get back today (didn't want to miss my favorite teacher's class, but then she had a sub so I still missed her) and that hour also flew by.  The Husband said something this morning about knowing how much I love yoga.  And really, I don't actually love it.  I just love how it helps my whole body feel better.  I could try a pilates class but I think that would be too much.  One of the beneficial things I've noticed about yoga is how it has helped me to slow down.  My natural inclination has always been to just get through things, preferably as fast as possible.  Slowing down through the poses, breathing deeper and slower, moving with more intention - all of that has been so good for me.

I was concerned about going back to yoga with my wrist.  It isn't near as good as I want.  And I did wear my little brace (helpful).  I modified where I could, using my knuckles instead of my flat palm.  And right now it isn't feeling worse.  Fingers are crossed because I really need to finish up the ironing (yes, I know:  totally something an old lady does) and practice the piano.  I'll be careful, I'm weary of hurting and need to get back to things I truly love to do.

And it's peony season.  The bushes are lush and heavy with blooms.  They are such a stunning flower.  Ours are only the single blossom, not the full double ones. Still, I love them.  Flowers are definitely a blessing from heaven.

And from yoga this morning (this particular teacher considers herself a kind of philosopher):  "Approach life with a loving heart."   All of which indicates some intentional action.  Good words, good idea.
