Took a chance after what felt like turning a corner (yesterday) on this crummy cold/cough and headed off to yoga. I figured I could always leave if I got to coughing too much. Karen, the teacher, was so kind to ask about how I'm feeling. A couple other ladies I've met chatted with me, one of them has also missed a bunch of yoga due to a cold. It was nice to see friendly faces that don't apparently mind that I'm old/fat/grumpy. (They're mostly my age, also - probably the reason for their ready acceptance.) And frankly, leaving yoga I was in a better mental state than I have been. Yay for yoga for me. And Yay for renewing my membership (thanks to our medicare insurance which pays for it) for another year.

The grass is kinda crunchy. Today was lawn-mowing day. The Husband opted to only mow the front yard. That back isn't growing all that fast with the reduction in water and the hot, dry incessant Draper wind. The honeylocust and blue atlas cedar trees provide enough shade that the font lawn does a little better. So it didn't take him too awfully long and he was done before the afternoon heat which is good. We're doing our best to keep all of our trees alive but frankly, I think everything (plants, trees, people) suffers in the heat and it's barely July. Reservoirs and lakes are either empty or nearly so. It's pretty scary.
Came across this article this morning. I'm going to try it. Three Words For Anxiety Relief
So grateful for air conditioning and for the ability to have some water, though I can promise that I'm w-a-y more careful with its use than ever before.
Was cleaning up all the extraneous pictures on my phone and came across several articles that I had wanted to share here as well as a couple quotes. I liked this one:
"Today you could be standing next to someone who is really trying their best not to fall apart. So whatever you do today, do it with kindness in your heart.
