Snow

They said it was coming.  A monster snow storm.  I decided to wait and see.  But this time:  they were right.

It's still snowing.  Started out as rain yesterday morning.  Rained most of the day.  Then it turned colder and the snow began.  And hasn't quit.  The first part of the snow was super heavy, wet, dense.  Now it's more on the fluffly side, but still coming down.  It's so bright outside it's actually painful for your eyes.

Here it is nearly 1:30 p.m. and a snowplow just barely went down our street.  It's been very quiet.

Took our grandson to work (yay for the Subaru!) this morning.  Came home and the only tire tracks through the snow on our street were the ones I made when leaving.  There's been a nutty kid on a snowmobile through several times, but mostly it's been quiet.

Generally speaking, it sorta appears to be a snow day for the majority of people.

Me?  I'm grateful for a decent snowblower.  Grateful for our trusty Subaru that just plowed on through like it was having fun.  (I was having anxious stomach - and I was the driver!)  And especially grateful for the ability to just hunker down and wait it out.  Sounds like a good afternoon for a movie.
