Update

Bags all gone.
We were both on our phones tracking down some issues (when does life not have some issues?) when The Husband received a text from our next door neighbor.  Finally was able to disconnect the call.  Read the text.  The neighbor said he'd come to our driveway and take some of our bags of leaves. He was going to drop his off at some city drop-off that we didn't even know existed.

The Husband dashed out the back door only to come wandering back in with a look of astonishment on his face.  Our neighbor had already been by, picked up all eight of our bags of leaves and pine needles (he said in the text he had room for about 4) and disappeared.

Not often that we're the recipients of this kind of kindness-service-help.  We're most often the ones trying to do for others the things we know need doing.  I don't really even know how to respond to this. It was an amazing act of goodness.  We'd expected to take the next 4 or so weeks of filling the garbage bin for the truck to take away.  We don't need to do that now.  How grateful we are.
