Walk

Had a lovely walk this morning.  Managed to do our entire circuit without crossing paths with another soul.  That's always fun for us.  I, especially, thoroughly enjoy the peace and solitude of seeing another day begin.

love the lilacs
The tree we planted last year to replace the Blue Atlas Cedar that we lost made it through the winter.  I've been keeping a careful eye on it and this morning could see the leaves barely beginning to open.  It's almost time, though it still feels early, to get the water going.  If the grass seems to need it, then I'm pretty sure the trees would also like a drink.

And the lilacs are blooming.  Barely.  Stopped to take a deep inhale of the scent that I so love.  The Husband said he was glad I liked it (he has never like the smell of lilacs).

We have been seeing more and more raptors flying around.  They come and land (they're such large birds) in our pines quite frequently.

Yesterday felt good - we managed to complete a few things on our "to-do" list.  That's always a boost to my mood, knowing that things are getting taken care of.  Today will be a movie.  Our expectations are low, which is fine.  It's just nice to be able to go somewhere and have something kind of
fun to do.

Grateful today for help that fixed the phone issue, The Husband really isn't ready to replace his phone (and it's really an inconvenient annoyance to do so).  Grateful for the ability to take care of what needs to be taken care of.  Grateful for good weather that enables us to turn off the heat and save a bit of money, and grateful for sweaters to wear when we're trying to save a bit of money.
